End of Season Message!
A fun and frustrating season...
Well we made it through another season and we have a new champion for the 2012-13 season, congratulations Scott!!! Talk about grabbing a lead and not letting go, wow! Every time I spoke with Scott this season I told him that he was going to stumble and have a bad week or two and that's when the rest of us were going to make our move. I actually beleived that for quite a while, but buy week 13 I was starting to have my doubts. Well he never did and as they say, the rest is history. Way to go Scott, but next season you have to start off with a couple of 3-13 weeks, you owe us!
Congratulations to our newest player Tony! A very strong performance yeilding a well deserved 2nd place. A lot of us found ourselves chasing Tony right up to the last game. I can say he certainly frustrated me. Every time I thought I might have a chance at gaining some ground we ended up picking the same team. Good job Tony! I'd also like to congratulate Dan, a long time player, on a very strong performance! This is probably one of Dan's best seasons and I'm sure he'll have many more to come. On the flip side I'd have to say "what happened?" to Frank, Uggs and Marla. Frank because he told me that he was going to finish better than Mary Ann this year (again). Well, I would like to say that I haven't heard that before but.... (just like any good Cubs fan knows, there's always next season!) I thought Uggs had Mary Ann and I beat until I saw that he didn't get alot of his Week 17 picks submitted in time. All I can say is that everyone chasing you was breathing a sigh of releif. Marla, another long time player dropped out of the scene pretty early on. I guess she didn't want to beat up on Ralph too bad this year! Congrats on a solid 5th place finish Ralph! The award for winning the most weeks as a solo winner goes to Divya. She followed that up grabbing the 9th place even after missing several games picks! Finally, I know that priorities come up and I hope that everything works out for those who weren't able to finish the season out. I hope to see you back even stronger next season!
Thanks to everyone for playing, I hope everyone had fun! The end of year stats have been posted. Just like in the past, in order to present an accurate group winning percentage I have excluded anyone from the calculations who missed more that 1 week of picks. I will be sending out winnings in the next day or two via PayPal.
