End of Season Message!

Another season and another new winner... or is that one new and one previous winner????

 

Well I think this is a first. We have a tie for first place and also our first female to win the league (at least as far back as I can remember)!  I still want to know who was making her picks for her, since I'm pretty sure she couldn't tell you what city the Chiefs or Browns are from.  So yes, Mary Ann, oh yeah, and Uggs tied for the top spot and title of "FootballWizard(s). Nicely done!!!  Uggs managed to squeeze his way into a tie for first place in week 16 and hold on to the end.  I thought it would be an interesting finish in week 17, but can you believe they both picked the exact same teams in every game in week 17???  I know Uggs will claim he was just sitting back waiting to pass his sister at the end, but there is no denying that Mary Ann pretty much dominated the entire season.  I think she might have briefly dropped out of first place once or twice for a week or two, but that was it. 

 

I was a little shocked that I wasn't chasing Tony this year, not that I'm complaining.  A little bit of an off year, but still a solid 6th place finish.  Jacob and Matthew had another great year finishing in the same order as last year.  Look out next year Jake!  Both Rachel and Julia improved on last years records with a nice 7th place for Rachel and 11th for Julia.  Dan had a very strong start to the year but ran into trouble when he missed a few of those pesky Thursday night games.  He may have dropped to 8th, but he did win the week several times!  Ray showed consistency matching his performance with a 9th place finish.  I know Ray is smiling from ear to ear because all season long all I heard was how he was ahead of Ralph and was going to beat him... Well, he did!  Sorry Ralph :-O.  Marla landed in the 12th spot.  I know she was disappointed with her Colts this year, but just as they will rebound I know she will as well.  And Finally, I thought Roberto might be the one to chase when he won the week in week 2, but unfortunately the streak didn't continue for him.

 

Overall, its been another interesting season, and I hope everyone had fun.  Good luck if your fortunate enough to have your team playing in the post season!  The end of year stats have been posted.  I will be sending out winnings via PayPal in the next day or two.
